On a private road adjacent to Harrow School this former preparatory school was converted into residential use in the 1990’s

The clients requirement to extend the property was conflicted by the Conservation status of the area and its location; within an Area of Open Metropolitan Land. (urban greenbelt)

CWA analysis of the site identified a ‘Flat’; a historical lawn tennis court to the west of the property, as having the potential to be lifted, 5 feet (1.5m) to accommodate a large extension to include Swimming Pool, two guest suites, spa and 5 car garage.

The architecture of the exterior is largely rammed earth banks. Where the structure is visible, it is encased and exposed with floor to ceiling glass sliding doors to maximise the light deprived interior. The roof of the building continues to provide a lawn tennis court.
