Cousins Wojciechowski Architects in collaboration with award-winning New Zealand firm Sheppard & Rout Architects have produced designs for a contemporary new home in Christchurch New Zealand. 

 

The Client has set out a brief which includes for the development of a new-build home of approximately 500m² on an expansive property with a beautiful stream boundary and views of established planting.  The design is focused around achieving maximum natural light into the house whilst implimenting a programme that allows internal and external activities to be seamlessly integrated.  The forms generated include expansive eaves to allow an outdoor room near a reflecting pond and pool,  and long horizontal forms which stretch out into a landscaped garden.
